What’s the movie about:
Mark Wahlberg plays a copier- maintenance man who
wants to be a Rock Star. He worships the heavy metal
band Steel Dragon and plays in a tribute band, so that
he can mimick his hero. He knows the songs off by
heart and in a strange twist of fate gets the chance to
replace Steel Dragons lead singer Bobby Beers.

Now that he is suddenly transformed into a rock god,
can he handle the pressure, the drugs and the women?
What is going to happen to his girlfriend ( Jennifer Aniston)
now that he has groupie chicks offering him sex any time
any place while he is on tour.

The Transporter – Action Film

What’s the movie about:
Frank Martin ( Jason Statham ) is The Transporter , he’s
ex-special forces and hard as nails. Now he’s living by the
French Riviera and delivering packages (any package) no
questions asked.

He has a few rules and one of those is don’t look in the
package, but on one routine delivery he hear’s a noise and
just has to know what’s in it.

What he finds set’s off a chain of events that lead to him
to kicking ass and blowing the bad guys away.
The stunts are spectacular as are the fight scenes, it’s
action all the way as Jason Statham bangs heads with
some nifty martial art moves.
The love interest is the beautiful Li played by Qi Schu.

Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is another
great film that Jason Statham was also in.

What’s the movie about:
Jim Carrey plays Truman Burbank the unwitting star of
The Truman Show a world-famous reality TV show.
His whole life has been manipulated and he he is only just
starting to suspect something as strange things are starting
to happen in this perfect American town.
Is his perfect life going to be over now and where is the love
of his life?

The Truman Show is a very touching, thoughtful and funny
film, that’s why it got three Oscar nominations.
Well worth watching this film with Jim Carrey at his best.

The Recruit – Thriller Films

What’s the movie about:
This entertaining thriller sees Collin Farrell play James
Clayton The Recruit and computer genius who has just
joined the CIA, even though he doesn’t think much of
the Agency. He thinks they are just a group of old white
men that let his country down when it most needed
help.

But along comes veteran recruiter Al Pacino who can see
that Farrell has potential and decides to use him to weed
out a mole within the CIA. Explosive action once Farrell
meets up with a sexy female agent.

The Director of this film Roger Donaldson also directed
some other good thrillers like Thirteen Days and
No Way out.

What’s the movie about:
The Football Factory is a very realistic look into the
terrifying world of Tommy ( Danny Dyer ) who is a
lager-soaked, cocaine-fuelled football hooligan.
He’s only 20 years old and is now a member of the
Chelsea Firm.

They have a big day soon as they are going to meet
Millwall, but Tommy starts having horrific dreams
about being beaten and kicked to death.
Soon he starts to question himself, if this is the life
he really wants to be living.

With violence all around him and full on fighting
about to kick off with Millwall, this could be the most
important decision of his life.

What’s the movie about:
Will Smith plays a slick lawyer who doesn’t realise why
someone is out to get him and ruin his life. Well somehow
he has managed to upset a high ranking goverment official
played by Jon Voight and he has seen to it that he is now
an Enemy Of The State.

Will’s personal life and reputation are soon rapidly going
downhill, while everyone around him just think he is
paranoid, he meets up with Gene Hackman who might
just be able to give him some answers.
This film is an enjoyable conspiracy thriller.

Midnight Run – Comedy Thriller Film

What’s the movie about:
Midnight Run stars Robert De Niro as an ex-cop bounty
hunter who has to take a crooked accountant played by
Charles Grodin across America, but it’s not so easy with
the FBI and the Mafia chasing you and trying to track
you down all the time.
It’s a fast paced film with some great perfomances and
the comedy comes more from the situations than the
actors just trying to be funny.

Another couple of comedy type films that are also good
with Robert De Niro in are Meet the Parents and
Analyze This.
